Nursing Profession
Nursing is a health care profession which well recognized by all over the world. In Pakistan nursing profession is regulated by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). The PNC is an autonomous, regulatory body constituted under the Pakistan Nursing Council Act (1973). PNC sets the curriculum of education for nurses and maintain standard of education and practices. PNC also communicates different policy decisions regarding nursing education and practices.
After successful completion of the program, one year internships mandatory by PNC for the BSN students. After one year internship, it is mandatory for the student to license by PNC for the practice in nursing profession. On the basis of learnt knowledge and skills, a graduate student is able to provide holistic care to an individual, family and community in different settings. Nurses get the great opportunity to work not only nationally but international nursing institute also offering with attractive salary packages.
BSN graduate nurses have plenty of opportunities to seek higher education like Master in Nursing, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Doctorate, and Post-Doctorate Research fellow degree and to do specializations in multiple disciplines.
